Little kid’s confusion February 26, 2009

And here we go with another round of music suggested by Karin. As you would have seen, I decided to take a week and post things from her. Then, as I wrote in a previous page, I’m open for suggestions (send them by e-mail) from other of you, my good friends and fellows!
Today we talk about a band we already mentioned in another post, when we talked about “The Libertines”. We will deal with the Babyshambles.
As some of you would know, this London’s indie rock band was formed by Pete Doherty during a hiatus from the mentioned band The Libertines (actually he’s was just banned from playing with The Libertines, due to his problems in substance abuse), but Babyshambles has since become his main project. Babyshambles has released two albums, one EP and a number of singles. The band has received a great deal of attention from the British tabloid press as a result of interest in Doherty’s personal life (I know, as I said somewhere else, it’s so bad that the tabloid’s echo from the life of a junkie does influence the quality of the music).
But, in the end, we don’t care too much and we just want to listen to some music. That’s why we are going to listen to the song “Delivery”:
Domenico
I guess it’s all right.
By or by the way of an explanation
Cast adrift off the shores of shotter’s nation
I had a lick it caved my skull in like a brick
Oh now what use am I to anyone
I’m fucked, forlorn, frozen beneath the summer
Don’t sing along or you’ll get what I got
Here comes a delivery straight from the heart of my misery
Here comes a delivery straight from the heart to you
Yeah you now you now you you’ve finally left school
Oh what on earth do you intend to do
See if you can tick the man go downtown
Where all you skins and mods you get together
Make pretend it’s 1969 forever
Find a girl have a drink have a dance and pray
This song might deliver me straight from the harshness of misery
Cos this song’s a delivery straight from the heart to you
Yes here comes a delivery straight from the heart of my misery
This song might deliver me straight from the heart to you
Yes here comes a delivery straight from the heart of the misery
Here comes a delivery straight from the heart to you
I LOVE IT!!! esp. Here comes a delivery straight from the heart of misery… brrrr good!
I went to about 5 concerts were PD was supposed to turn up, he turned up once and was swaying, forgot what he was supposed to sing etc. In person, meaning standing in front of you, he is quite impressive. About 190cm tall & has something special about him, kind of like a Sid Vicious
.
I am not sure if him on stage was worse than Amy trying to croak through her high notes.. who i was supposed to see about 3 times and saw once when she was awful.
What about the new Razorlights?? not bad I think,….
