Save Me April 6, 2009

Amici e amiche,
today is a special day, at least for me. I’m turning one year older and that’s cool. So many things did happen since last 6th April. Most of them are quite regular or small or funny. Some others are quite important and had a big impact on my life. I’m happy to see how I changed so far but remained the same in a certain way. Does it mean that I grew?? Basically, I really do not care. The most important thing is to wake up everyday and be quite happy with myself about where I am and the way I live.

Coming to the music, I realized that on last year’s birthday I posted the song “Si e’ spento il sole” (the sun shut down) from Adriano Celentano but performed by Vinicio Capossela. Looking back at that day I can say that it was quite sad and I don’t know why I posted that.

Therefore I didn’t know what to post for this birthday. The only thing I know is I want a song more solar and shining and colored and expressive of part of the way I am. Then I took my iPOD and started scrolling all the songs I have to find the right one for today. I went through the Almamegretta, the 24grana, the Rage Against the Machine, the Pearl Jam, the Smashing Pumpkins (and I was almost convinced to post one of their songs…) but in the end I chose the following one from an artist that have followed me since my adolescence:
